“We’re busy every day, but I’m never sure where the money goes.”

“I know I should be online. I just don’t know where to start.”

“I haven’t raised prices in years because I don’t know what’s fair.”

“I spend my nights on paperwork instead of with my family.”

The Business Checkup

A full look at your business, the way a doctor gives a checkup.

What you walk away with

A one-page Fix-It Plan: what to fix this month, this quarter, and later. No jargon and no 30-page report. We go through it together.

How it works

Four steps, at your pace.

  1. Free call

45 minutes. You tell me what’s on your mind, and I tell you honestly whether I can help.

  2. The Checkup

A visit to your business or a video call. We look at your numbers, your tools, and your day-to-day together.

  3. Your Fix-It Plan

A one-page plan, ranked by what will make the biggest difference first.

  4. Help putting it in place

Do it yourself with the plan, or have me set things up and show you how they work.

Beyond the checkup

A plan only helps if it gets done.

Most owners don’t have time to set up new systems. I can do the work with you and make sure you’re comfortable using it.

Idea Springboard

Have an idea? Let’s talk it through.

Maybe you want to start a business, open a second location, or add something new to what you already sell. Before you spend money on it, it helps to think it through out loud with someone who will ask the hard questions kindly.

  • Who is it for?

The customer you have in mind, what they need, and what they use today instead.

  • Can it make money?

Rough numbers on pricing, costs, and how many customers it would take to be worth your time.

  • What could get in the way?

Competition, startup costs, permits, and time, so there are fewer surprises later.

  • What’s the smallest first step?

A cheap, quick way to test the idea before you commit savings to it.

What you walk away with

A clear next-steps plan

  • The idea, summarized in a few plain sentences
  • The questions that still need answers
  • Your first three steps for the next 30 days

Good for first-time founders, side projects, and owners weighing a big change. One conversation or a few, whatever the idea needs.

About

Hi, I’m Francisco.

I’ve spent more than 15 years making businesses run better. I started as a file clerk at a small law firm and worked my way up to running its office, technology, and website. Since then I’ve worked in project management and, for the last several years, in operations and marketing at a large technology company.

Along the way I learned that most problems aren’t complicated. They just need someone with time to look closely and explain things plainly. Every business owner deserves someone in their corner. I’d like to be yours.

  • Business degree in finance from Cal State LA
  • 8 years running operations and technology for a small firm
  • Years of hands-on work with pricing, customer lists, and automation
  • Based in the San Gabriel Valley, working across Los Angeles

Questions

Common questions

Is it really free?

Yes. I’m taking on my first local businesses at no cost while I build the practice. In return, I ask for honest feedback and, if you’re happy, a short review or a referral.

I don’t have a business yet, just an idea. Can you help?

Yes. The Idea Springboard is made for that. We talk through who it’s for, whether the numbers can work, and the smallest way to test it before you spend real money.

Do you do my taxes?

No. I review your numbers and how money moves through the business, including payroll costs. Taxes, filings, and legal questions stay with your CPA or attorney, and I’m happy to work alongside them.

I’m not good with computers. Is that okay?

That’s exactly who I work with. I explain everything in plain language, set things up for you, and only suggest tools you’ll actually use.

What do you need from me?

About an hour for the checkup, plus a few things to look at, like recent sales reports, a bank or card statement, and your price list. I keep everything private.

Do you meet in person?

Yes, in person anywhere in LA County. Everywhere else, we can do everything over video.

Do you help with hiring or HR?

No. I focus on money, customers, operations, and tools. For HR questions I can point you to the right people.
